SEA GC Realty does not hold escrow. All purchase deposits and security deposits are held by the closing title company or closing attorney designated in the contract. SEA GC Realty will not ask you to wire money to a SEA GC Realty bank account at any time.
- 02
Wire instructions come from the title company, not from us. If you receive wire instructions in an email that appears to be from SEA GC Realty, treat it as suspicious. Call the broker directly at (561) 552-2771 to verify before sending any funds.
- 03
Always confirm wire details by phone before sending. Before you wire any funds in any real estate transaction — even one not involving us — call the title company directly using a phone number you independently verified (not a number provided in the email), and confirm the routing number, account number, and account name.
- 04
If wire instructions change at the last minute, that is a red flag. Legitimate wire instructions almost never change at the last minute. If you receive a "corrected" set of instructions hours before closing, assume fraud and verify by phone before sending.
- 05
If you have already wired funds to the wrong account, act fast. Call your bank immediately and request a recall of the wire. Then call the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at
ic3.gov. Most successful recoveries happen within the first 24 hours.
